Gameness ??

Why do many people say that dobies dont have gameness and low pain tolerance?? They were even bred for fighting predators during hunting and killing them!!
Answers:
GAMENESS is a term used to describe an APBT fighting dog.
An APBT is considered to be "game" if the dog does`nt quit during a match. Ever heard of a boxer that goes 15 rounds in a fight and did`nt quit even though he was getting beat to a pulp?
That is gameness. Doberman`s are`nt a game dog as they might fight another dog for a short while but lack the stamina and when the going gets rough, thry would bail out of the fray.
Gameness and dog aggression are not the same. Any dog can show aggression to another dog but when the fight starts, one or both dogs will turn tail or give up when one of them submits. Not so with a game APBT which will not stop under any circumstances unless picked up by the handler, too injured to continue or dead. APBT`s have a high pain tolerance as well as jaw strenth, agility, and just the love to fight. Of course, not all APBT`s are game. Game dogs should be left up to professional men that have spent decades working these dogs. A game dog is less likely to bite a human than your average APBT and even that is unlikely.
yes
Their temperments are not suitable for game. As far as low pain tolerance, I am not sure about that, the only thing I can think of is that if they are in pain they will be more focused on their pain and not their task at hand.
Dobies got game.
I have no idea what this means, but I just love saying it.
Dobies got game!
