Help me find another chihuahua?

My wife and I recently bought a new chihuahua after loseing our other two that we were deeply in love with in a bad car accident, the puppy passed away from something called sugar shock even though we gave it a sugar supliment everyday, we then tried one from a local bet store only to find out she was not pure bread even though the store assured she was it took over 30 dyas to find this out from some research of our own becasue she was getting so big, the other three were all very small almost teacups, they were all appleheads, we have put over 4,000 dollars into the purchase of these dogs but don't have anymore money to spend to fill this huge void in our hearts and for my two young sons as well, can someone please help, I don't mind paying for shipping, maybe even a1 to 2 hundred dollars for the puppy, I just want a healthy chihuahua puppy to replace two of the loves of our family, small very small apple head would be perfect, can anyone help??

If you are in the US try this address: http://www.chihuahuarescueusa.org/... They rarely have puppies, but they do have many Chi's and Chi mixes. The adoption cost varies.

Hypoglycimia is something anyone who owns a Chihuahua should know about. It can happen at any time especially to very small ones. Leaving food down 24/7 is a must until at least 6 months old. I have 4 Chi's myself and dry food is always avaliable. I have 2 very small ones. One of 3.12lbs and one just 2lbs.

Instead of a sugar replacer a little tiny dot of Neutrical morning and night also helps with blood sugar issues. Not too much though as it can upset their tummies. Karo syrup or honey are best for treating reactions.

$100-$200 may get you a very sick puppy that is also likely to die. The very small ones cost even more than the slightly larger ones which would be a better bet with young children. They are also less prone to hypoglycimia.

A rescue is a much better option. The dog maybe a few years old, but it will be spayed/neutered and be up to date with shots.

While you are waiting to find a new friend you should buy the book "Chihuahua's For Dummies." It's an excellent book that will tell you all about the important things every Chi owner should know so as there should not be any issues with hypo that you won;t know how to deal with.

Good luck. I know the rescue is the place to look.
go on webkins they have fake chiwawass i have one
Just put in your own zip code here, to see if the Chihuahua of your dreams is near and waiting for you> http://search.petfinder.com/search/searc...
You can choose age and gender and then click on any dog's name to learn all about it. Happy Shopping!
Many chis(and dogs period) are in rescues and shelters dying for the lack of loving homes. Being a small breed does not mean the get homes quickly, many are still waiting after months or sometimes years. Try searching for a breed rescue near you or try Petfinders.
Why don't you stop obsessing with expensive overbred dogs that are almost always in poor health, and save the life of a shelter dog? If you're really just trying to 'fill a void' then fill the void of a dog's heart too. It doesn't take a pedigree to be a good pet.
Buying from a pet store was your own fault and you should have researched pet store puppies more. However, I am very sorry for the loss of your dogs. Instead of buying a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder, go to http://www.petfinder.com and adopt a puppy or even an older dog.
The local paper should have something for you, just look out and keep watch for the people that won't let you see the parents or won't let you meet at their home. I work for my local shelter and we've had so many people complain of paying tons of money for an "apple head" just to have it come down with parvo within days. For some reason Chewies and Pits catch parvo so easily.
Another thing is that even with the one that got too big, it's sad for the poor guy that he got a taste of a family and had to go away because of something he couldn't help. Be careful you choose one you're willing to keep permanently, these dogs are just never the same after something like that.
Good luck.

P.S I'm only saying to ty the paper first because most of the shelter chihuahuas may also get "too big" ad the worst thing for them would beto get adopted and returned again.
It would be very hard to find a puppy for that low of a price if you're looking for quality and health. If you are willing to spend more, I would recommend http://www.marleschihuahuas.co... I don't think she has any available right now, but it doesn't hurt to ask or maybe you can reserve one from the next litter.

Hope that helps.
